Big Fish Tarifa is organizing a gps-speedchallenge in TARIFA
Speed
is back in windsurfing! Allthough it always has been an essential element in
windsurfing (who does not smile when speeding passed your windsurfing bodies),
now speed is back in the minds of all surfers. Even wave and free style addicts
here in Tarifa are getting a GPS system and strapping on slalom boards with
bigger sails to show they are the fastest!
Big Fish Tarifa wants to help everybody who wants to measure him- or
herself with the best. We rent out GPS systems and offer rental slalom boards
and sails to make sure that you are best equipped to get the optimal results for
average- and max speeds. All results will be published at our site www.bigfishtarifa.com
and gps-speedsurfing.com.
Rules

The ranking will be based on the rules of
gps-speedsurfing.com

To participate you bring a Garmin GPS or you
can rent one at our shop.

You can set times on your own or on rented
windsurf gear

The speed spots you can set your times are all
the beaches of Tarifa and Bolonia

Your times will be checked by the (local)
timekeeper. You need to save your tracks to make sure we're always able to
control your claim. Cheaters will be expelled from this competition and www.gps-speedsurfing.com

How
to enter a LSM (local speed meeting) session

Go to my gps, log in and subscribe for the
event. You have to subscribe only once.

Go to sessions, then add session.

To add your session, choose the "Local
SpeedMeeting BigFishTarifa". Make sure you choose the right competition
format, only the speed spots as written above are allowed.

After filling in the data of your session your
speed will become part of this local ranking.
Race period
The BigFishTarifa Speedchallenge will start November 1st
2005 .
Prizes
Every
two months the fastest in that two month period will get a 50 euro gift coupon
for BigFish clothing. On August 30 an extra price (a 200 euro gift coupon for
BigFish clothing) will be handed out for the fastest overall speed of the
previous year.
